This article is great and encapsulates very well the important aspects of colour and how it fits in with interior design. I love the idea of using the colours that suit the space rather than trying to force a colour onto a space because it is the current trend.

Color is a very important aspect of design, however there is no right or wrong color, everyone has there own reasons for the choice of colors that inspire them, the trick is to find a cohesive balance between them and to use them in such a way that they compliment each other. I believe the above article has done a good job in explaining the details behind lighting and how to apply it to design.

Yes, color is a personal thing, and there is no such thing as a nice color or a bad color, very nice mosaic like colors in the pics

Hi, this is an excellent article. Anyone who’s new to interior design world can gain a lot from this information. I would like to ad any color in any sort of design is never alone. It’s always related to how you use it and with which other color you use it with. For example yellow color look different when placed on a backdrop of white Vs black. So color schemes must always be worked out in combinations of other colors every time. Thanks for sharing this article.

Each color has its own feeling..ofcourse the combination is important , but to apply color into a space you really must ’scan’ the person you are going to work for,,your designing his temporary life,,,so you the criteria is,,,what kind of person he is (energetics etc) his likes/dislikes and after confirming all that the color chosen will be the right one.

Reading this article reminds me of my beginning days as a photographer all over again.

Nonetheless, it’s a great post and I feel all interior designers should be made to know colour theory as a mandatory requirement.
