Hi,

any body knows any software that's quite powerful and yet easy to use for interior design. Like

- easy to draw objects or define objects from lines drawn even if they are broken

- able to scan drawn paperdraft from A3 scanner and easy to resize to the acurate size, and then use the mouse/pen to define objects from the flat picture

- have a measuring rule that tells the distance of objects

- easy to turn 2D plane to 3D plane (i thing its XYZ and maybe other perspectives) , point at the define object and pull them upwards to the specific height. I reckon the specific of curve objects are not that important as the position of the objects and general volume on the grid floor.

- able to import/ export graphics and files to autocad, photoshop, vector..and other drafting/ photoediting software for different manipulative use of picture

Thanks for the direction.

Rgds.

Hi winniebearong,

Why not have a look at Sketchup: http://sketchup.google.com/

It is not the most extensive program but it is a good one to start with and it is free.

Play around with it and move on from there if you have to.

It may also help to read up on the article "What software should I use?" in the casestudies/tutorial section: http://www.id-sphere.com/2008/…..uld-i-use/

Good luck
