J just finished another wooden basin made of mahogany marine plywood so I took some photos and uploaded them for some feedback: http://woodensinksandbaths.com…..ood-sink-2 . Check out the pictures and let us know what you think. Would you install it in your own bathroom? :)

Sorry, too glossy for me. I know that it is difficult to go for a matt finish when working with water but woos in sinks were never really my cup of tea.
I am sure in some interiors it will work fine.
Nice craftmanship though.

Hi
You have put a lot of work into developing this product, so I hope you do well. I'm not sure about the mahogany plywood and the cost does seem high.
The following company have been making wooden sinks for some time and they are constructed from a laminated teak composite (not sure if this comes from a managed source, FSC – UK standard) williamgarvey.co.uk
The use a resin based product called Timbertect Plus for finishing the sinks. Developed by conservationchemicals.co.uk and its a great product – I use it on kitchen worktops in the main.
Hope this helps

I actually love the look of any wooden furnitures, but I'm a bit worry about wooden sink, will this thing be durable? how long can it last before I need a new one?

Durability would be my concern as well… Most sinks are ceramic specifically due to the massive water exposure they receive. This wood would need to have been very well-treated in order to resist water damage over time, and if it has been heavily-treated, I wouldn't want to drink out of it… So…

You can easily treat the surface so it is waterproof without any health concerns. The question is can you live with the tactility of that surface cause it sure is not going to feel like wood.
