Let's admit, employees deserve a safe and comfortable working environment that's why choosing an office chair is very important. Business owners and managers are constantly trying to find ways to boost employee morale and increase productivity while at the same time reduce health problems and absenteeism. To answer this problem, installing office chair and office furniture can help accomplish in an affordable and efficient manner. Find more info here: costuless.com.ph
The first step that you have to keep in mind in choosing office chair is to research its features. Height is very important factor in choosing a chair. This should allow you to sit comfortably with your feet flat on the floor, with your knees at a 90 degree angle and parallel to your hips. For armrest, which is an important feature if you are typing at the computer of a large portion of your day should be adjustable in height and position to accommodate different users and activities. Also, the backrest should support the natural curve of your spine. This means that the chair should provide support in the lower back. Check for the headrest as well. A headrest should provide full support when you are sitting in the recline position in your chair. You must know that this is a useful feature if you are going to spend more time in sitting in a reclined position for talking on the phone than typing at the desk.
The second step in choosing an office chair is to consider what you will do mostly in your office chair. You should make a list if what are the things that you do mostly. Will you be talking on the phone most of the day? Will you need access to many different things on your desk or you will be on the computer and will be sitting still in the same position? Whatever your errands is, it is important that before shopping for an office chair, you know exactly your office chair will be.
The next step is to visit an office furniture stores to try out your prospective chairs. Once you have narrowed down the functions and features of the office chair you want, visit an office furniture store with chairs to sit in, to assess comfort, support and positioning. You can now start to compare the prices of the chairs. You can look at online stores, wholesale stores and office furniture stores to compare the prices of chairs with the features you are looking for. If you consider buying online, don’t forget to check for the cost of shipping in the price.
Lastly, choose the style, color and materials of the chair. If applicable, office chairs come in different styles and materials such as leather, fabric or mesh back chairs. In some models, you may also be able to choose colors to customize the chair to your specifications.

I wrote an article about this actually – http://www.tubchairs.com/blog/posts/office-tub-chairs

Three important things when choosing an office chair – 1. make sure it meets health and safety regulations. 2. make sure it meets branding for the company. 3. comfort for the employee. The article will explain more if need be but they're pretty self explanatory.

  • Seat height. Office chair seat height should be easily adjustable. A pneumatic adjustment lever is the easiest way to do this. A seat height that ranges from about 16 to 21 inches off the floor should work for most people. This allows the user to have his or her feet flat on the floor, with thighs horizontal and arms even with the height of the desk.
  • Seat width and depth. The seat should have enough width and depth to support any user comfortably. Usually 17-20 inches wide is the standard. The depth (from front to back of the seat) needs to be enough so that the user can sit with his or her back against the backrest of the ergonomic office chair while leaving approximately 2 to 4 inches between the back of the knees and the seat of the chair. The forward or backward tilt of the seat should be adjustable.
  • Lumbar support. Lower back support in an ergonomic chair is very important. The lumbar spine has an inward curve, and sitting for long periods without support for this curve tends to lead to slouching (which flattens the natural curve) and strains the structures in the lower spine. An ergonomic chair should have a lumbar adjustment (both height and depth) so each user can get the proper fit to support the inward curve of the lower back.
  • Backrest. The backrest of an ergonomic office chair should be 12 to 19 inches wide. If the backrest is separate from the seat, it should be adjustable in height and angle. It should be able to support the natural curve of the spine, again with special attention paid to proper support of the lumbar region. If the office chair has the seat and backrest together as one piece, the backrest should be adjustable in forward and back angles, with a locking mechanism to secure it from going too far backward once the user has determined the appropriate angle.
  • Seat material. The material on the office chair seat and back should have enough padding to be comfortable to sit on for extended periods of time. Having a cloth fabric that breathes is preferable to a harder surface.
